Welcome

My son and myself have constructed this site, for friends, family and others to get an insight of the life, time, and natural beauty of the Highlands of Scotland, through the media of photography. I have always been a keen amateur photographer and the camera has been a way of capturing scenes and moments that in this day and age we sometimes miss or overlook.

I do not always set out to take photos, but when things happen or Mother Nature shows one of her many unusual facets, then I want my camera close to capture that moment in time. You may think some of my photos are good, and you may think that others are not so good, do not judge by quality but more for content. Remember I am not a professional I just enjoy what I do.

History

Born and bred in the county of Gloucestershire, lived most of my life in the parish of Woolaston. Large part of my life spent in the world of travel and marine both occupational and as a hobby, other hobbies include fishing and of course photography.  Also for twenty-seven years of my life I devoted most of my spare time to The Severn Area Rescue Association. Most of this time was spent as an operational member of the organisations inshore rescue boat and search and rescue team. Owing to ill health I found that I had to take retirement, It is for this and personal reasons that myself and my wife decided to move to the Highlands of Scotland. This was a big decision for us to make, but since we moved here in February 2003 we wished that we had made it earlier.

Through this web site and the photo gallery that it contains we hope that friends, family and others will understand a little bit more about the people and the Highlands of Scotland and the reasons for our settlement here.
